American Idol 2013: Winning Performances From Las Vegas (VIDEO)| February 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM EDT
Only five Hopefuls were sent through from last night’s American Idol 2013 performance show in Las Vegas which meant there were some incredibly tough choices made by the judges. When it came time for the results to be revealed host Ryan Seacrest said the judges’ decisions were unanimous but all we heard through the reveal were details of a split panel and frustrations among the judges.
While there were a lot of tears at the end of the competition not all of them were for being eliminated. Here’s a look at the Top 5 performances from last night’s American Idol episode that ended with the singer being put through to the Top 20 live shows.
Adriana Lotonio – “Ain’t No Way”
It came down to Adriana and Shubha for the last seat for the American Idol 2013 Top 20 and when they played the highlights it was painfully obvious that Shubha was set to lose to Adriana. No surprise there.
Amber Holcomb – “My Funny Valentine”
The judges loved her performance even if it was an old song. Mariah even said she wanted to smack Amber for it, which was a very strange thing to say but we’re assured it was in a good way.
Angela Miller – “Nobody’s Perfect”
After this performance judge Nicki Minaj told Angela she was a leader in the competition and to keep things steady and not rock the boat as she heads on to the live shows.
Kree Harrison – “Up The Mountain”
Wow, what a performance. It’s no surprise to see Kree Harrison moving on to the Top 20 for Season 12. She delivered yet another strong performance and impressed the judges with her focus on substance over style when it came to showing skin.
Tenna Torres – “Soulmate”
Tenna made it through to the next round but Nicki Minaj made sure to give her some advice on her hair: fix it. Let’s see what she does in the next round now that she’ll be part of the live shows.
